FM Community at the Heart of Flood Relief: A Collective Force for Change

When disaster struck the Telugu states with devastating floods, the Facility Management (FM) community, led by TFMC, emerged as a true pillar of support. In a time when the world often feels divided, our FM community proved that unity, compassion, and action can drive change, making a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the floods in Vijayawada and Khammam.

Our flood relief initiative would not have been possible without the incredible contributions of companies like Capgemini, Birla Soft, First Source, RMZ, My Home Vihanga, Flytta Logistics, and more. But it was the FM community who truly made this happen. Their commitment, time, and effort turned this vision into reality.

From sourcing essential supplies like masks, PPE kits, face shields, paper cups, bedsheets, and clothing to ensuring their safe delivery, it was the FMs who organized and managed every step of the process. Special thanks to Flytta Logistics, whose timely coordination ensured that the relief materials made it to Vijayawada and Khammam without a hitch. And let’s not forget Jyothi Kondapi, whose meticulous planning made sure the logistics ran smoothly, or Satya, who contributed greatly to the overall execution.

The efforts of our FM community reflect the true power of collective action. With support from Shree Rajashekhar IPS Garu and Shree Sunil Datta IPS Garu, commissioners of police in Vijayawada and Khammam, we were able to distribute crucial relief to those who needed it most.

At TFMC, we have always believed that Facility Management professionals are more than just caretakers of buildings—they are caretakers of communities. And in this instance, our community rose to the occasion, gathering over 1,000 IT/ITES professionals from across Hyderabad. With the collective strength of FMs, CEOs, CFOs, and HR leaders, we came together with one goal: to make a tangible difference in the lives of those hit hardest by the floods.

The impact we’ve made in these tough times demonstrates the power of community and the role FMs play not just in facilities, but in society. We’ve shown that when we come together, we can create change—no matter the challenges we face.

TFMC is proud of each and every FM who played a part in this initiative. Your efforts have proven that our community is resilient, compassionate, and capable of transforming lives. This is the power of FM, and this is the power of us—together.
